Wood Fired Cassarole

Purple Pear Pottery is the creative outlet for me, Leslie Maloof.  Many people ask me how the name came about. Throughout my life as art student and professional potter, pears seem to reoccur as a theme and purple has been my favorite color as far back as I can remember. So it just seemed natural they become part of my artistic identity.

I do not sell my work directly out of my studio but instead choose to participate in craft fairs throughout New England and neighboring states.  I find it invaluable to meet and talk with my customers both to get feedback on new designs and to build relationships with the people using my pottery in their homes. A list of my upcoming fairs can be found on the Shows page of this site.

Leslie is a summa cum laude graduate of The New Hampshire Institute of Art with a BFA in Ceramics and currently works & teaches at her studio in Nashua NH.
